Scanning the waves this morning, I came across a link to a survey carried out in the US of A. The shift of marketing to the digital world continues at pace with many marketeers planning to increase their social media budget by 10%, according to a poll carried out by Elfie Worldwide and Mashable.
Other interesting results from the poll, carried out among ad. execs in some of Americas largest corporations, include the goal to increase Facebook ‘Likes’ and also to target the mobile market.
Much of the increase in spending though will focus on increasing Facebook fans and the Brands most cited for their strong use of Social Media were Old Spice, Pepsi, Starbucks and Ford. 50% of Respondents also agreed that they used a mix of in-house and agency to handle social media outreach.
And a whopping 87% of pollsters viewed Social Media as important or very important to achieving their biggest marketing goal this year.
